No secret I'm moving. I've been going through more "stuff" than I can even remember at this point. I've tossed out more and more as the day of moving gets closer.
But the blessing in all of this is that Big Brothers Big Sisters keeps calling me to see if I have any donations. Each time they call, I go through another closet to see what I can donate. I go through bookcases for things I no longer need. I have dishes and cups and saucers I won't be bringing with me, so someone will benefit. I love donating things. I know that if I was the one in need, it would feel so good to have someone donate to me.
There is always someone we can call when we have good items worthy of donations. Why not make some calls today and see who can benefit from the things we no longer need? It might mean the world to someone else!

Yes, it is a good feeling. It means so much that the clothes and kitchen items are being used again.

We are emptying my parents house (they've lived there for 51 years) we'd love to donate, but most of the stuff is worn out, or broken. No one wants it....not even the trash man.

@CRK109 to make it worse, my parents would qualify as hoarders.

I know all about that, too. I've had a lot of stuff here that had to be tossed. Thankfully, I was able to donate a lot of Mom's clothes and some of her collectibles. I have a few more that will be getting donated in this next box, too. My parents moved into this house when I was only 5 years old, so we've been here just about 60 years now. Sooooooo much stuff! lol

I wanted to have a garage sale but there is too much to do on my own, and I don't have anyone to help me. So, little by little I'm getting things taken care of. :)

It is vital to donate.
We get lost in our things and others are wanting them.

I usually end up passing things along via a free only Facebook page. Better than taking it to the dump.

I've done that, too. I also belong to a few Freecycle groups online and I offer many things for free when I have them available. I have a stationary bike right now that I'm trying to sell. If it doesn't sell in a few more days, I'll be offering it for free. And then it's gone! :)
