It has been years that girl power is starting to blossom. We can see that women are one of the players in all directions of men’s endeavor in life. Some countries embraced the gender equality and continued to advocate women’s rights. It is evident in some companies that female boss promote the equality among the members. Even the type of dress had also showed transition in wearing dark suit without high-heeled shoes. Others are not in favor to have female bosses, claiming that they are not suitable to supervisory positions in public or private sectors. Would you prefer to be ruled by females boss? Why?

I am not sure female managers are more emotional. One aspect about transitioning to management is that it is necessary to ensure others perform the detailed tasks and managers must learn to let go - yet this challenge applies to both men and women as they become managers.

@pgiblett I would just say they are quite similar yet approach issues differently.
They have a different presence too though subtle and in the way they get things done.
Margaret Thatcher stood apart from other Prime Ministers as did Indira Gandhi.
Maybe it is time for that in America too!
And a good manager is one whose absence is not felt, yet presence is always felt - siva

I am very much in favour of equality. Women can be very effective in management and it has nothing to do with dark suits or high heels it is about being effective as a manager, ensuring tasks are completed on time, ensuring that the right person do the job. Yet in many instances management training is lacking, but this is as true for male managers as for female ones.

@TiarasOceanView I agree on this. There are some instances that women tend to be unreasonable. For example, my former manager in the company that practices nepotism. I really don't like her way of treating the employees. That's the reason why I can't continue rendering my services to the company.

My boss when I am still a Manager at a call center is a woman. She is usually sweet but she can be a monster when it is needed.

Nothing wrong with, but women are not exemption to being a bad or intimidating boss. There are good and bad male and female boss out there, having a female boss is no different. It's the way he or she treats the employees that counts.

Women have been in charge in big business for years in the US and Canada. I don't care if its a man or a woman. as long as they use their head and are good people it makes no difference.

I don't have any gender preferences. Partiality, politics stays everywhere. We should be ready to face and make our stand for our goodness.
