Have you ever made a silly toy for your pet?

I know I've already told a silly story about my cat today, but for the last hour or so, she's been playing with something that took me by surprise! I've been watching her and participating a little bit, and it's so adorable when I realize what she did! I have a pile of shipping things for ebay sitting across the love seat from me. Every evening I go through any sales for the day and anything that's been paid, so I can ship right away. Well, my cat was sleeping next to me and she suddenly got up and went over to my things. It got my attention and I started to stop her and then decided to see what she was doing. She grabbed a twist tie that had fallen off a bag and she began playing with it. It captured her attention so completely that I took it and twisted it into a fish shape and tossed it back to her. And yes, for about an hour she's been playing with it. And then it disappeared! She left and I kept searching for it. I finally found it on the rug, and she came running to get it again! Have your pets every played with anything out of the ordinary like that? What kinds of toys have you made for your pets?

I would get pipe cleaners and twist them up for my cat. Or even ball up aluminum foil and they would play with them too. I never bought a cat toy ever.

Those are GREAT toys! And you're a smart lady for never having bought toys. I've bought way too many for my cat, and as with most cats, she prefers boxes and bags and now twist ties! lol I have some yarn that will be knitted into toys for her with bells inside. I think she might like those. :)

@CRK109 All those sound great too. Cats are so easily entertained. I also did the twist tie thing too. Oh And I loved when my cat would climb into a paper bag. Co cute.

I used to make little mice and put catnip in them for my cats. They like playing with bubbles and balloons but when they pop the balloon you need to pick it up and threw it away.

I'm not sure my cat has ever seen a balloon! lol She'd probably be afraid of it. But she does love catnip mice! Anything with catnip is something she loves. :)

She's a funny one, that's for sure. She manages to show me what she wants and how she wants to play, even at age 13. And I love every second of it! :)

oh yes, my cat LOVES boxes and bags. With the move coming up, she's been having a lot of fun going in boxes, climbing on top of boxes, trying to move boxes... LOL! She knows something is going on but she has yet to figure it out. I can't wait to watch her scope out the new place. :)

My husband and I don't throw our old socks away. We tie them together and give them to our dog. He loves to play with them. He is always able to find a toy, but sometimes we don't like the toys the he chooses for instance my wallet and the dirty clothes from the laundry basket Our cat doesn't play much. We bought her cat toys in the beginning, but she just ignored them.

Our girls love when we roll tin foil up into a ball and throw it near them. They also love trying t to fit into oat containers and rolling around in them. We buy toys but they seem to like what is already here. They are very entertaining. Have a blessed day.
