Today I bought a pack of hot cross buns. they are not huge but they are very plump and heavy and i have no idea how to heat them. They are too big to fit in the toaster. How have I done this at other times? i suppose i could cut them in half and put them under the griller but this just doesn't seem right. Have I forgotten something? Any suggestions? I wanted chocolate ones but couldn't find any so I have sticky date and caramel ones. Hoping they are yum.

It's a bit late with advice but if it were me, I'd be putting them in the microwave.

@JudyEv LOL, you are sneaky. I didn't have anything else and this lady always serves coffee and goodies.

Cut them in two. Place them a small bowl of water in the microwave for a few seconds.

I have heard about hot cross buns, but how does it look and taste? Does it taste like the normal bun? Where do we get it?

Hot cross buns
They are a sweet bun and can have various additions like dried fruit or choc chips. They are eaten at Easter.

I put them in a medium oven (300 or so) for about 10 minutes. You could also microwave them for about 20 - 30 seconds.

You can pop them in the microwave with a little cup of water and steam them..
