Emulate=To surpass Imitating that which we want to continue and to match.
That most primal, intimating compound that brings parent and child together and continues the links in the chain.
Being a parent heals wounds. It's all in the room that you live in in your head. Is it a room from the past or a empty room you want to fill with that all important object of your delight? Emulating what you want for your child.
Picture is the latest of my great grandson, Brock, born November 2015.

Oh my goodness, he is adorable! He has those chubby cheeks that you just want to kiss over and over again.
There are things in my daughter's life that I already miss, such as when she was the age of your grandson. She still has a lot of growing to do, though, so I just try to remember to live each and every day and be in the moment. That way, when she is grown I know that I have shown her how to live life to the fullest, especially enjoying the time we spend with those that we love.

@purplealabaster ...That's ok. Just a rung above being proud to be a gran so what that added proudness. hehe
Yes, I agree. It is a good basis.

@celticeagle Sorry for misreading that he is your great grandson.
I do think that having good family ties is extremely important, because it gives you a good foundation for the rest of your life.

It's a wonder those cheeks aren't beet red from being pinched.
