I have often wondered why the dawning of an idea is depicted in sketch as a light bulb, illuminating over a person's head.
As incandescent light bulbs are no longer in vogue, with a plethora of low-power, energy-saving replacements being promoted to displace them, what will the cartoonist of tomorrow use to represent the germination of that seed of creativity?

They may not be in 'vogue' but they are still widely used. They sure last a lot longer than those new ugly ones that are supposed to last 10 years and don't.
