Cancer is at a rise and at an alarming rate, I have lost a few members to cancer including my grandfather at the age 54 and it saddens me to see how Cancer is now soo common everywhere you go!
Here is a few shocking but true cancer causes, flouridate drinking water is a major factor that until recently has been proven. Also many products we use at home like most Johnson & Johnson baby products have chemicals in it and they are facing multiple million dollar lawsuits after it was proved that their products are cancerous.
Last but not least, more than half of the food we consume is full of GMOs that can cause cancer with time. Thats why I try not to eat too much crap and have my meals prepared from scratch, GMO free!
Cancer is a very serious and scary illness and even the way of combating it is becoming an issue.
For anyone who had to fight this disease or go through a loss, my heart and condolences go to you all!

causes are not very clear in many cases. May God protect us and help us to lead a healthy happy life.

I beleive its due to unhealthy lifestyles that we create for ourselves while we are young thinking we will never get old ect

I think that cancer has always been around. Just wander thru a cemetery and look at the stones that have young people who passed, they likely had an illness such as cancer, but they didn't have the diagnostics that we do now so there wasn't any early prevention.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX We try to live too quickly, and eat foods that are not natural and rarely exercise or eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and all carry way too much stress.

Very true but if you research it a bit, cancer in the US alone has risen over 40 percent in the last 10 years

Lack of excercise is definitely a factor, we must stay active to keep the body healthy and organs functioning properly

@BACONSTRIPSXXX - You ever read his book Hawk: Occupation Skateboarder? It's pretty good considering it's aimed at teenagers.

It is a sad fact that cancer is among us. We must at all cost try to avoid carcinogenic products and have screening for early detection if there will be found any in our body. Early detection will help in having good prognosis.
also, we should stop / refrain from smoking

I have lost loved ones to cancer and I have a cancer on remission (not cured). But I think that, besides the pollution and the chemicals, there are lots of people that used to die of other ailments in the past.

Yes, it's all the processed foods we eat and the polluted air we breath cause us a lot of these illnesses..

There are so many causes of cancer: smoke, smoking, smog, second hand smoke, chemicals at the dry cleaners, chemicals used in cleaning and laundry products, electrical products, pesticides, artificial additives, preservatives, asbestos, etc. Although cancer has been around for a long time, it seems more prevalent today, because we are able to detect it sooner and there are so many more people in this world.
I agree that something has to be done about it, and soon. My family has been struck by this killer, too.

I think it's a mixture of unhealthy lifestyles, more chemicals nf food, pollution and a few other things.
As a general rule the chance of cancer increases with age and as we now live a lot longer more people are being diagnosed.
