I want to be a moderators' moderator here at myLot

There is a post by @Owlwings announcing that there is a job for moderators here at myLot
Being a moderator means reading every post, response and comment and then looking for infractions, and recommend them for whatever action Admn deems it fit. That is plenty of work but a moderators' moderator is an interesting activity where one bosses over moderators. I have not bossed around in a while.
How about getting one opportunity here.
I am very good at bossing. I can promise you that.
Your views please.

I already applied for the position of Moderators' Moderators' Moderator, so you might have to accept having a boss!
Seriously, though, moderation is never about 'bossing' but all about 'helping' and giving good, sound, correct information where needed. Nothing to excess and nothing wanting but everything in moderation.

Oh no! I don't want a 'Hitler' as a boss. I have seen a bit of you here
I have been a moderator - chosen by Admin. It was a small community and I enjoyed that work. Ofcourse we were not paid there. We were kind of close to the owner and were given tools that helped us function.

That is news to me. Just look around and see for yourself how many lady bosses you see in the world - not even one percent.

Are you not part of staff already? Lol! I always thought you were. Am I wrong? I think you would be a good fit for the position. Although - do you have to read each and every post that comes up on MyLot? That seems like a very difficult job...

@allknowing I am not sure why. Maybe I felt that way because you are indeed all knowing!I feel like I dont see your discussions around much unless I am on at a different time or something. I will have to follow you now so this will change. :-). Do you think you want to apply for the position?

Whatever gave you that impression? (lol) No thanks. I was a moderator at one place and there it was OK because it was a small community. It is not so here.
One has to read everything. How else can they get to infractions?

Being a moderators' moderator is easier than being a moderator. Here at myLot it will be a full time job. I am not sure of the job description but from what it looks it sure is a lot of work.

It takes the right kind of person for being mod and must have a lot of time on their hands. I did this for another site, and just was too much work. Then a few of the mods did not fit in, they were nice on the forums, until they became a mod and were not nice any more.

I agree with you. It is indeed a difficult job where one has to call a spade a spade even when it comes to those who have become attached.
