This is another large park in our area. There is a baseball field, basketball court, children't playground on the other side and lots of room for children to play. Of course you can see the water tower in the background. The town council is still trying to decide where to put the dog park, it may go in on the back section of this park by the utility road.

@destimona when they do have a dog park in this town I want to take my younger dog there as she would have fun meeting other people and dogs also.

@destimona I always took my older dog to the dog park when she was young so she could be around other dogs and other people, she is very socialized.

I wish we had large parks like this one, it sounds amazing with all those activities inside. There is a small park near my home with a playground and there was a suggestion for a dog activities park, but the city council didn't approve it. I hope they will build the dog park soon in your area!

@besweet Yep we are having to raise money for the fencing and benches so this spring and summer will be a lot of fundraising. A least the land will be free from the city.

Where is this? It looks delightfully small townish. Do the kids take advantage of the park? I hope they're not at home with their digital devices.

It is in a town in Minnesota and the children do take advantage of the park. They have ball games there and a lot of events in the summer months.

It sounds like a very lovely park! Hope the dog park isn't too close to annoy people. Dogs will probably be wanting to fetch the ball whenever people are playing baseball lol

It's good your town provides recreational and easement areas for kids, children needs lots of space while growing up. Is that a cannon? What's the history of the park?

@louievill There are a lot of different parks in this small town. Yes, it is a cannon what the history is I don't know as I haven't lived here very long and don't know a lot of the history yet.

@Jessicalynnt It would make a nice area for a dog park, I am sure there is sand there as to what would be put in other then a drinking fountain they would need some benches for people to set on.

@Marcyaz dogs wont care, be nice if they add some dog stuff, poles, things to climb on, a bit of sand for digging, etc
