Is anyone else using the operating system of Windows 10? I am using my sister's laptop which is Windows 10 right now to catch up on MyLot notifications and whatnot, and I find it super glitchy. This was not just on MyLot but even simpel sites such as doing a Google search and checking my e-mail. Not good! I have Windows 7 at home. I am wondering if this is just me, or do you have any type of review on Windows 10 as an operating system?

Yes, I have windows 10. It's not as good as windows 7 but it's better than windows 8.

If it's the earlier version, I think you need to get some updates. This is one of the reasons why I wait for the final version of an OS especially from Microsoft because I expect the earlier ones to have glitches and bugs. But I know, they're still working on it. So, I haven't updated yet until such time that the reviews tell me that it is a stable.

I will look into it. Perhaps lack of updates are causing it to slow down. It seemed like it wasnt even catching every other letter of what I typed. Hmm. Memory or lack thereof could be another issue entirely!

@Dextoi ooh! You sound like you are pretty tech savvy. I was going to ask next if OS es can be downgraded. How on earth do you do that?

@maezee you can also check if your sister's laptop has at least passed the minimum system requirements for windows 10. And it's better if the laptop surpasses the minimum system requirements so that the hardware won't get too choked for the system to run. If it doesn't, I think you can consider a downgrade...

I have been using Windows 10 for a long time and find it perfectly fine. The very early builds that were released for testing purposes well before the final consumer release did have many issues, but they were methodically dealt over the months. From the day that Windows 10 was released to the public it has run quite smoothly for me.

Perhaps this is an older version! It seems very glitchy. But that could be other things too. Wish I was a computer whiz!

@maezee It cannot be an older version because of the automatic updates. The early builds which were available via to public release would not longer work and those release afterwards will all have been updated. It could be due to some conflict with another program or piece of hardware, which d be very difficult to identify.

I would stay far away from windows 10. I have read that Microsoft can spy into your computer for piracy and, who the heck knows what else. I have read nothing but bad thing about windows 10. If Microsoft can get into these window 10 computer and, anyone else that has upgraded, just imagine the door it leaves open for hackers. I will forever pass on windows 10, you should have a choice whether you want it or not. Since all the new computers installed with it.

Hi Maezee. I can't say that I find Windows 10 to be a good operating system. It has not proven to be an improvement. If I was getting new hardware, I would avoid getting it with Windows 10.
