Helping the youngest son in his move

My youngest son is 26 years old, he's been renting a flat but he managed to buy his own apartment. He did it all by himself, identified the suburb that he wanted to live in (very far away from mom! lol), bought an apartment off a plan, paid the deposit, saved for his deposit, patiently waited for 22 months, organized his loan, organized his settlement, the electricity and water. This week, I helped him to move. Since I downsized, he was happy to have most of my wooden furniture, which would have been donated or auctioned off. He saved me time and stress doing this. It's looking very nice now, as he adds to his bits and pieces of furniture. Oh well, life goes on, children become adults and leave the nest, but if we can as parents, we can still help them make the move so they may settle soon as independent individuals. It's great to see him finally settled in his own place that he can call home.

I do, it's hard for me but we let go of our adult kids to seek their lives. He visits me at least once a week. Thanks, Nikki

Funny, my youngest just bought his first home and will be moving on June 30th. He is very excited. Yes, the children do grow up and move away.

Hi my friend. Good to see you here again. My eldest daughter is 20 years old now and soon she will live on her on too. I will do the same, helping her and be always in her side, whenever she wanted. That's great that your son was able to buy his own apartment and it's a nice one.

Congrats to him for being able to do this and you for making him able and independent enough to do it. Not an easy task.
