'Man clean' vs 'Woman clean'

(Before you get yourself in an uproar, this is not a serious post and may involve humor or sarcasm. I guess I need to start posting this warning to appease some people that apparently don't know what is going on unless you hit them with a 2 x 4, and still they won't 'get it') Spent a few hours today cleaning up a house for my boss that will be rented out this afternoon. While discussing things with Bossman as we cleaned, I realized something: Men and Women have extremely different ideas of 'clean'. A guy moves into a house, and it is 'man clean'. He will think it is great, and enjoy how 'clean' it is when he moves in. A woman, on the other hand, will think it was never cleaned. Here is why: When a man cleans a house, he needs: 1 mop 1 broom Maybe a dustpan (a piece of paper always works) Water (cold or hot) Some Kind of Soap Something to keep water in the sink (plastic lids work) 3 rags Generic window cleaner That's all he needs. He might splurge and buy a toilet brush, but probably not. A woman, however, needs: 2 dust pans 4 mega rolls paper towels Glass cleaner Counter cleaner Toilet bowl cleaner Carpet cleaner Tile and tub cleaner I dozen scratch pads Bleach Scrub brushes 2 brooms 3 mops Hot water (boiling preferred) Toilet brush 2 vacuum cleaners Carpet shampooer 4 cans air freshener Glade plug-in air fresheners (or equivalent) for each room Murphy's Oil Soap (for wood floors) SpicandSpan (for the bathroom floors) Industrial Strength floor cleaner 2 mop buckets And that's just to start. Guys 'n gals have a very wide difference regarding 'clean'. For a guy, spray it, wipe it, done. A woman is quite different. When a woman cleans, her eyes microscopically adjust to see every stray hair, every speck of dirt, every germ lurking in the corner. She will get them ALL. And then do it again. Maybe even again. You can eat a meal off of her floor...but don't you dare try! So men, be prepared...when you get married, there's no more cleaning the toilet bowl by peeing hard on the stains. This has been a public service announcement by a single guy

This is generally the case JJ. Although in my lifetime, I have met men that would outshine any woman for cleanliness. I have also met women that dont know the meaning of clean if you paid them to do so.

I have cleaned up rentals behind some super filthy women so this does not apply to all women.

It's funny but I am totally not a typical woman, my husband is a neat freak more than I am. I am kind of messy, not dirty but I'm not really fussy when it comes to cleaning. If it looks nice, then I'm okay with it. Lol. My husband on the other hand is pretty crazy about things being clean. For example, when I vacuum I don't move every single piece of furniture and vacuum behind it. Why? No one sees there anyway! My husband does move everything though!

One couple I used to visit...the wife was a maniac about 'clean'. I was afraid to go to the bathroom there in case I splashed a bit or left a hair behind.

We need two dustpans because the first one generally walk off somewhere. We keep searching for the perfect cleaning tools as well, you know, the ones that will operate themselves. I think my brother has some gender confusion as he and my dad are great cleaners. Me, I like all the equipment but that does not mean I am sanitary clean. I also make some of my own cleaners. You know that some slight exposure to dirt and germs strengthens your immune system, right?

I do know that too much anti-bacterial usage has resulted in some strains building an immunity to them

Thinks: A guy who cleans? Can this be true? Be still my beating heart. Not only cleans but by my standards does a relatively good job of it. Should I put some moves on JJ before someone snatches him from under my nose? Then I read the sentence starting "So men, be prepared..."

You got that right! There is a big difference in the way men and women clean. Men will often use Clorox wipes only. Women scrubs it all down with Clorox a couple of times, and then wipes it for the last time with a Clorox wipe. LOL

Hilarious! Loved it!! Mystery revealed. Grew up with 7 brothers and gave birth to 5 sons. Never knew that was how they cleaned the toilet. Was just happy they lifted the seat! I'm in the myLot Facebook and receive notifications whenever you share a post. I just realized that I wasn't following you here on myLot. But I fixed that! Following you now.

I friend on facebook posted a picture of him in a light rain this morning and said 'A little sprinkle never hurt anyone'. I told him 'Don't ever use that excuse in a toilet bowl argument'.

My mother always stops in and I try to keep her from organizing and cleaning dishes. Last time she went for the vacuum, the brooms, and other things. I told her to back off. But she started to throw away receipts of things I needed to return and I kicked her out. There's cleaning, and then there's destructive interference.

depends what you are cleaning, I have never cleaned the inside of a toilet I let the spray and the water do it, I don't like vacuuming unless I can actually see things on the rug.

You speak the truth and it is funny how different we are when it comes to cleaning. Some men wouldnt even use soap if it was up to them and I know some that actually dont, which is really hard to believe
