A Cup of Coffee in a Day is Enough

I only drink one cup of coffee in a day, and I only drink it in the morning, together with my breakfast. I never drink coffee in the afternoon for I cannot sleep at night. I will be awake until late night and become sleepy only after midnight.
How about you? How many cups of coffee do you consume in a day?

I drink two small cups of coffee in the very early morning that is all.
Like you, if I drink it later, I will have a problem.
I wish I could drink it all the time but I must not.

@Macarrosel Welcome Macarrosel. On an exception I may have some sort of creamy coffee around mid morning.

@TiarasOceanView It's better to make pauses in your coffee consumption, so you reset your body and it will have a stronger effect when you come back to it.

Really? So be careful then. Be sure to keep it 2 cups in a day only. Thanks @Lucky

Like you, I usually only drink one a day, although it's not everyday. There are some days when I may drink two, but that's rare. I usually drink coffee either in the morning or early afternoon. Never in the evening or late afternoon. Otherwise I may have a hard time sleeping.

Yeah, it's hard to sleep at night if we drink coffee in the afternoon. That's why I never drink in the afternoon either early or late. Thanks @dodo19

@Macarrosel But inspite of healthy drinks I somehow missed one thing and that is not controlling my sweets intake.

My husband drinks hot chocolate too instead of coffee. Well, you go for healthy drinks and that's good. Thanks @salonga

Me too. I will suffer headache and stomach ache the next day if I can't drink a cup of coffee today. Thanks @LdeL0318

None, I prefer green tea as it's great for the skin and is a great anti-oxidant.

@Macarrosel I know but coffee has a downside. Unlike green tea.

Good for you and bad for me because I can't sleep late due to my hypertension. You know, growing old each day, but not so old as what you think hahaha. Anyway, thanks @MGjhaud

I used to drink maybe 3-4 cups in a day, but a serious problem with acid reflux forced me to kick the habit for several months. Just several months, then I regressed. I went back to drinking coffee but this time I am able to keep it to one cup a day, in the morning. Sometimes I still get sleepy in the office. I take power naps. Sometimes there's no time for a power nap, so that's when I resort to energy drinks, which I hear are bad.

There are different ways in which coffee is served. In India we take with milk and sugar. In USA people take coffee decoction only. Whenever I go to Starbucks here I ask for milk condensed and then take it with sugar . It is ok. I need at least two cups of coffee in a day good night.

Surprisingly enough, if there is every a cup of coffee that I can skip, it is part of my morning cup. I usually am so busy getting ready that I only drink the top half and pour the rest down the drain. Now my mid-morning cup of coffee, that is one that I savour and enjoy.

I can consume one during cold mornings. During summer, I usually don't, unless I need to stay up late at night to work.

I only drink coffee now and again, these days. If I do drink, I may have two in the same day. Otherwise I could go a week or more without coffee. I drink tea more often, usually once or twice each day.

My normal daily coffee intake is one cup in the morning at breakfast time and another at 3 o'clock in the afternoon with some bread.
