The last thing you need is a bull in your swimming pool!

Picture this: Hamilton County, Tennessee There a nice in-ground pool and it is covered for Winter. The owners of that property were mending fences (literally) and unaware that disaster was about to happen. It seems a very friendly bull just wanted to have some fun. He walked onto the pool cover and you can imagine what happened then. Deputies on scene tried to help the bull of of the pool by leading him to one corner. Finally, the bull got his two front feet up on the ledge and somehow managed to climb out. Do you see the color of the pool water? That's exactly what ours will look like when we take the cover off. The big difference, our pool isn't full of bull.
A Tennessee bull went for a swim Sunday morning in Chattanooga.

Better a friendly bull than an hungry alligator. The neighbor across the road has found a wild board inside his pool, he had to call the animal rescue to get out the animal, they can be pretty dangerous.

Yes, wild boars are very dangerous. We did have a cow walk thru our yard but she wasn't interested in the pool.

@AbbyGreenhill Cows can be dangerous too, but usually only if there are young calves around.

That must have been a shock for the bull, poor thing. Glad they got him out. I would have thought he would have become entangled in the pool cover.

He was entangled with it but the deputies got him out of it.

I once read of a horse falling into a pool, and firemen had to use a hoist to get him out.

The falling in part is easy the getting out is the hard part since you can't teach them to climb steps to get out.

Poor fella. That must have scared him silly. I'm sure he didn't mind the water but probably panicked when he couldn't get out.

Our pool (from before) would look like that too in the Spring after removing the cover. No bull in ours either. I sure miss that pool!

That would be a task and a half. At least they didn't have to bring a crane in and try to winch him out.

I think they probably tossed that idea around....He did get a few cuts on his front legs, but he's healing.

Where did this bull wander in from? They will have to drain that pool.

I am not sure if it was their bull or a neighbors. They showed him on TV this morning, he's very people friendly. Yup, that pool will have to be drained and sanitized

@AbbyGreenhill Are you sure a bull is not hiding underneath waiting for you to take the cover off and surprise you?
