So we ended up doing a little grocery shopping with what we get with food stamps. This coming week I will be going to the food pantry. Mainly Wednesday at least. Been awhile since I been there. A family of 3 cannot survive on $112 a month in food stamps and most of the time I fork out $100 in cash extra just to get what else is needed. I even used the $13 in Walmart Savings Catcher to get it. Then had to spend $10 out of pocket at another store just for something Walmart don't see but its worth it. I even bought Jolly Ranchers and Strawberry Creame Savors to suck on so I don't bite my nails as often. I want to stop that habit. Have had it since I was a child. My parents tried even the hardest stuff for me to stop chewing my nails and it never worked. Bit right through the stuff. Well, off to interact. Later.

I think the food stamps are really just supposed to help with food you buy each month. I don't think it is supposed to be enough to cover everything. No one would survive on $112 a month unless you ate ramen noodles or something cheap like that constantly. We get about the same amount in food stamps as you do. That is about one or two weeks groceries for my kids and I. I can't complain though I am happy with whatever help we can get.

I'm single and I spend at least $200 a month for groceries so I can easily see how $112 a month wouldn't cover for a family of 3.

I know a lot of people tht are struggling for food. Different communities have different rules about how you access food banks. Are you in a place where you can grow a garden? I wonder if you are anxious and that is why you bite your nails? good luck with slowing it down.
