Almost like out of a Robert de Niro movie . . . . Lazy Sunday afternoon after a superb brunch at a local restaurant, watching the Video of our 2011 Europe travels just kindles the heart and many fond memories. "I would love to have 30 days to spend in Italy" - that's what I was saying to the girls, just 30 days! I wonder if it would be enough to see some of the places I have not yet been to. Like Verona and Milan, to see the original ~ "The Last Supper" which is a late 15th-century mural painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan. It is one of the world's most famous paintings. I don't wish to live anywhere else than my home town, saying this, makes all the wonderful place in the world my desired playground and travel destinations, that is when I have enough money saved. How often do you travel and what is it you like to see when you do? I love History, Art, Culture, Fountains, Statues, Gelato and then I love the seas' - the oceans and the views from a bench on any promenade! enjoy the little snapshot video I have put together for your entertainment. And on the note, I am off to watch a movie called "the Italian Job" arrivederci - till later!

The college where my brother studied is right in front of Santa Maria delle Grazie, I have seen the Cenacolo (Last Supper) several times when I was young and I never missed to thing to the idiot who build a door in the lower middle part of the affresco.

@Inlemay Well, the friars thought it was more important to have a door to connect the kitchen to their refectory than to preserve Leonardo painting. It is incredible that, when the area was bombed during WWII, only this portion of wall remained intact. This leads to think.

The photos zipped by too quickly Lany, though I understand that you were trying to get a lot in. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else either, but I do love to travel, like you do.

Good movie my friend. I have travelled a bit. I enjoyed it immensely and saw things I would never get to see if I hadnt. It is great memories I have. I love the song by Bananarama..Talking Italian.
Bananarama Robert De Niro's Waiting extended version 1984, very rare. It seems Bananrama has only released two early extended versions from the first two alb...
