There has been some discussion in comments about cake mix cookies. I thought I would write up a quick post and share the recipe. Growing up, my mom made them all the time. I had no idea she had gotten the recipe somewhere. You can make them with any flavor of cake mix. The best ones I've ever made, I made with a French Vanilla cake mix. I took them to a quilt guild luncheon and everyone loved them! You just need 1 cake mix, 2 eggs and 1/3 cup of oil. You can mix in other ingredients if you want like nuts or chips. I never have. Just drop by spoonfuls and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let me know if you try them and what you think.

@marsha32 Hello Marsha, Nice to see you here. I was wondering where you had been. So, making the cookies with the cake mix is that easy?

It is easy, which is why I make them so often. I stock up on cake mixes when I can if they are on a good sale.

This is so funny. My mom used to make these all the time when I was a child. Just goes to show that good ideas tend to stick around.

I will have to try these. The muffins I made yesterday from a cake mix were good. It sounds actually better than paying for the little pouches of cookie mix at the store. Homemade is even better, but sometimes we get in a hurry.

That sounds like a good way to make them.
