What Dumb Donna never learned

I know I haven't complained about her lately, but she comes up frequently around here, mostly about how happy we are that she's gone.
Still, its sad when you know this person just burns through people because, as she said: "I can always make new friends."
No, she is no friend. Friends don't treat people like that. In fact, as we told our guy friend, J, that if a person doesn't give you support, then they aren't a friend. They are acquaintances and if they aren't being supportive, then they should be dumped for people who do support you.
So, there is Dumb Donna, out there using people.
Obviously she either never learned or never took to heart that old scouting song "Make New Friends."
As I've mentioned, I went to Kerrville a few weeks ago to take a friend out for lunch, and I've known her since 1972. Maggiepie I've known since 1976 and my roomie since 1984.
I'm willing to make new friends, but I keep my old friends. I may not have a lot of friends, but they stay friends.

This is true. When a couple of new people called, once before she moved out and then that other one after, she warned them that Donna was a liar and would use them until they wouldn't put up with it anymore. She knows the right words, but has no intention of behaving as a friend.

Obviously she had never seen any advantage to the sharing that friendship requires, because she had been raised as a Princess. I wonder how many times her mom had to say, "That is okay honey, you will make new friends" when she offended people growing up.

That's a long time to stay in touch. I was at my vets today and said something about the other vet that I use when its something they can't handle. And I called this other vet by her first name. The vet tech asked about her by her last name, and I agreed. I said: "I always call her "L" because I've known her since she was 3." Just the other day I wished her oldest sister happy birthday, so, yeah, I've known this family for nearly 60 years.

She is a user, absolutely. When we pointed out she was wrong, she'd agree, then go on and do it again. I told her that all her confessions were invalid because she had no intention of not sinning again. That's what the priest says as they absolve your sins: "Go forth and sin no more."

@ElicBxn Yes and she had no intentions, no good ones, of not doing the same over and over again. Good riddance.
