Wore one err two. It is the only accessory that i have. Pearl earrings. When relatives saw me.wearing this white small pearls on my.ears, they told me to remove it for i might not going to get married. Like..what? But didn't listen to them, though i have thinking about this superstitious beliefs. Aside.from that, i have found out that, pearls are thought to bring wealth, good health and luck. And wearing one on wedding day is a no no. For it tears during the marriage. Do you have any beliefs with regards to pearls?

I've heard that belief also but I don't believe that, I wore pearls both earrings and ring because that is my birthstone. I like pearls, I've many collections of it.

Several years ago my sister gave me an 18karat gold pearl earrings. She was hesitant to give those to me as there's a belief that pearls shouldn't be given as a gift because they would bring tears. I never believed in those superstitious beliefs. But after a few months we had a big fight and we never spoke to each other again until today. Must have been a coincidence. Pearls you buy for yourself. You don't give them as a present.

I love pearls and I remember a superstition in my country. Women expecting to deliver a baby should not wear pearl necklace, or the baby will be born with the umbilical cord around the neck.

I heard about that but it's not about not getting married, it's just that if we wear pearls, there is misfortune on the one who is wearing it. But I don't believe in this. I had pearls before, necklace, earrings and ring because pearl is my birth stone but those jewelries were auctioned at the pawnshop because I have not redeemed them.

I also heard that it is not good to wear it on weddings because it might bring tears! But aside from that, I don't know about other beliefs associated with pearls. All I know is that I like them because of its natural beauty specially those that are still deformed.

I dont believe in that superstition @Lucky15 but i do believe that you have to take care of your pearl earings. Put on your pearl earings or ring after you have finished applying lotion and perfume.

I know that pearls are traditionally worn by brides, and represent her tears at leaving her family. Black pearls bring wealth.
