Renewable but compromising.
With the use of.the wind farm, another project was made.
Solar power plant in the nearby province costs around $40 million.
Does it sound costly?
This 60-hectare power plant will stretch from the sand dunes and the 25-year old forest park.
It means trees will be cut down to give way for the project.
How many trees will be sacrificed?
Six hundred trees.
Though protests was.made, the contractor promised of replacement of the trees, some trees will be earthed balled (reducing the numbers from more than a thousand to 600).
I just hope that they will be true to their promises. For i haven't heard any update of it this year.
Will you be okay with the project?

noperz, i'd not be. i've fought the wind turbines 'round here fer years. sadly to no avail. the ranchers'n farmers who's lands they've placed 'em 'pon get a tidy sum fer their troubles 'n yearly revenue's well. i've no troubles with those built out'n the middle'f cotton fields - that land's already been destroyed. but, when they go messin' with the delicate ecosystems'f our grasslands, i tend to get a lil more'n bent outta shape.

@Lucky15 that's awful they're takin' 'way forested lands to do such. i reckon they figure the "clean energy" generated 's more important than the loss'f habits 'n natural erosion control/air quality control? sigh...i'll ne'er figure folks out.

I would not want to see trees cut down for the power. We have wind farms all over the place and most farmers with an empty field now has solar for their own use and to sell the extra to the power companies...It works as long as the land is not being used..

I hope they keep their promises too. It sounds like what we call a boondoogle here in the US.

I am okay wit the project for as long as the trees are replaced. We surely need alternative source of energy considering that the power supply is no longer enough for all of us. If we rely solely on power plants using crude oil, we will pollute and destory our environment faster than any tree can grow.

it's awful to lose those trees. I wonder why the don't think of other ways than sacrificing the trees ..

We need renewable energy sources but it seems like a wind plant could be put up where there wasn't a bunch of trees already in the ground. We need the trees almost as much as we need the energy. There has to be a balance between the two.
