Well, I have been inactive on here for about 32 hours. I got sick with some stomach virus. Those are always so much fun. I was constipated and so I took appropriate action. Spent most of the next 24 hours off and on, in the bathroom staring at the floor. Horrible stomach pains. You get the story. In bed and grouchy. Ugh! Did a lot of movie watching though. Here is some of the ones I watched.
Burnt Offierings- On this morning. With Karen Black and Oliver Reed. About an beautiful Victorian mansion that had a life of its own. Bit part played by Bette Davis. Film made in 1976.
Frenchman's Creek- Joan Fontaine, Basil Rathbone. 1944 adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier novel. It's about a aristocratic English woman who leaves her husband and his idiotic ways and moves her and her kids to the coast. She falls for the french pirate who is ransacking the area.
Safe Haven- Greatest of all I watched. Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough. Mysterious woman moved to a little coastal town and falls for the town grocer and all round good guy. His wife had died of cancer a few years pryor and he was raising his two kids. Great movie made in 2013.
Kitty- What a fun movie. Paulette Goddard and Ray Milland. She's a sausy wench from the slums who is seen on the street by the popular artist, Gainsborough, played by the beloved Cecil Kellaway. He paints her as the "anonymous lady" and this excites the interest of his noble friends at the art showing. Sir Hugh Marcy takes her under his wing and him and his aunt are able to pass her off as a lady. Made in 1945.
Yes, quite a weekend of movies, stomach aching and diarrhea.

It's terrible to have a virus, I'm glad you're better.
I've seen Burnt Offerings. Even though Bette Davis's role was small, I enjoyed seeing her in it. It's not a bad movie.
