I do miss that show, but I have one memory that is about my husband and Cameron Matheson (Ryan Lavery)
After the show was cancelled, a few cast members did a tour around the states kind of like a Meet and Greet. My husband surprised me with tickets that were for Christmas... having no idea what he was getting himself into.
When we arrived the auditorium was a mad house of screaming women. Even I was embarrassed. But the funnies part was the fact that Cameron Matheson had to wonder up and down aisles answering questions.
There were some pretty wild women there that day and I'm sure that he chose exactly where to stand so that he would have protection lol... if needed.
We had aisle seats with hubby, all 6'2 of him seated on the aisle. That is exactly where Ryan/Cameron decided to stand . He was not taking any chances with one particular redhead a few rows behind. I'm not surprised that the shows finally fizzled out. Just way too dangerous lol.

It seems that every soap I ever watched... was cancelled. I think that my all time favorite was Ryans Hope! But yes, I watched them all... even a Canadian one come to think about it.

@Hate2Iron I think that as the years go on there are less stay at home moms home to watch the soaps like their used to be. I watched them until my daughter was about 1 and then I stopped as I didn't want to watch things like that around her. I really sheltered what I let my children watch.

It really was embarrassing. These were grown women, not teenagers. I would have liked to crawl under the seats. What they must have thought!

@Hate2Iron I should imagine your husband would think twice about buying tickets for anything similar next time.

I was a big fan of All My Children and was sorry to see it go off the air. However, one of my favorite characters Zach is now on Bold & Beautiful

I am still in mourning for the cancellation of All My Children which I watched for decades. I even watched the ill fated reboot on Hulu. I am used to it not being on but miss it. Kim Delaney (Jenny) is one of my all time favorite actresses. My fave at the end was Alicia Minshew (Kendall).

Me too... It was actually my Nanny who started me watching the show. She loved Erica Kane... that's my grandmother for you lol. So, I guess it was about 1972 when I began to watch it. Yes, Kim Delaney had a great story line. She and Greg made a great couple. And Kendall... I wonder what became of her?? And yes, I watched the Hulu version as well. I was so surprised to see them use Kitty! Hadn't seen her in years and years.

@Hate2Iron The Hulu version had "issues" for us long time fans but I so hoped it would work out and given time we would have gotten used to all the new actors and the show would have gotten back in a groove. Michael E Knight was going to come back as Tad and eventually Susan Lucci would have appeared.
