The sun shines bright and we are cleaning the disaster.

Good morning, mylotters. The sun is shining again and we can see everywhere the damage that the rain left in my city. Noone can say that the city is getting back to normal because there is a lot of moyer lost in damages as the river that crosses the city overflowed and thick mud and debris went into parking lots, buildings of all kinds and destroyed shops in one of the busiest streets. The news are full of our personal disaster plus the much worse one caused by the earthquake in Ecuador. There they don´t build asismic houses as we do because they are not acostumed to quakes. So not only the damages were worse but the shock of the population is very big. I hope international aid comes from everywhere. We already sent trained recue teams. I feel ashamed to live in such comfort while everything is so mixed up. But now I have to start preparing lunch for my grandson´s visit so I guess I will only think about the turkeys´thighs for a while. See you friends.

Wow you have had your share of disaster there in your own city. The Earthquake in Ecuador was terrible. I am sure international teams have been sent from many countries to help. Have a good visit with your grandson before he leaves.

I had a wonderful time with Daniel. And yes, the earthquake in Ecuador was worse than what it should be because they are not acostumed to quakes.

@marguicha Good you had a good time with Daniel before he left. Hopefully Ecuador will now have the help they need.

I am so sorry you had so terrible floods. I have heard about Ecuador, so many people have lost their lives and many others have lost everything they had. This is so sad.

@LadyDuck I know that chilean firecrews specialised in rescue went there. And there is some help from Mexico too. I´m sure there is more, but news here have been centering on the flood in Santiago.

@marguicha I wonder if they have international help, I cannot imagine that they can do everything themselves.

Do not feel ashamed that you are safe. Your strength and energy may be needed for something else.

My energy has been put to use in other moments. Thankfully it is not needed now.

It is going to be a long difficult job to clean up after mud slides and flooding. I am sure the aid will come pouring in. Parts of Texas in the US are also experiencing major flooding. Praying for everyone affected by the floods and earthquakes.

I don´t know how they will clean it. I´m sure that there are insurances but that will come a long time later.

I guess we all have our share of pain. Sometimes it is for one thing, sometimes for another.
