Waiting For The Cake To Come Out Of The Oven

In 5 more minutes, my chocolate chips cake will come out of the oven and it will rest until cooled. I made it especially for our youngest son who is coming this afternoon for a short visit. He loves that kind of cake. It is a recipe from Bakers' chocolate and it is made in one square pan and so easy to do. I like it with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream also. Ever tried a Baker's recipe?

I only use old passed down recipes from family and close friends, or a few that I've tried from the net, but never anything from Bakers'. I'm sure that your son will be happy to enjoy a piece of fresh home made cake with you. Enjoy your visit!

That sounds great, I baked a chocolate cake on Sunday and everyone loved it! The kids had a slice everyday before school with milk

@marlina I know, that's why I don't bake much, as I am the one that would eat the whole thing (not all at once)

I doubt whether I can make it to Canada in 5 minutes, so I am hoping that it will take a while to cool.

I've used Baker's chocolate before but I don't recal using any of their recipes. I don't like chocolate cake but with ice cream I can tolerate it.

I've never tried one of those recipes, and I don't know why! I do have an angel food cake mix here that I should make today while I'm home and have the time. I plan to have it with berries. :)
