The reunion that never was.

It was a benign Friday for me. This morning while lotting at the veranda, I called up my colleagues and asked about our work load, and then we set a reunion of sorts this afternoon.
This morning, I was still able to comment to some of you, my dear friends, until I went inside the house to watch the afternoon television series, and then I made some calls again.
One colleague said that we must meet this afternoon at 5PM. I left and went to her sister’s stall in the mall, but my colleague was alone, so 1+1=2 and it is not considered a reunion with just 2 people. Ergo, we set another date tomorrow. The remaining 6 clinical instructors will meet tomorrow morning, and I hope this will be a success.
I hope the mini-reunion will be one, and not “never was” again.
Do you like reunions? I sometimes like.

I still see the poeple I want to see. Our high school class is having our 40th reunion this summer, I'm not going however as I still see who I want and there is no one else I care to see.

@ridingbet My high school graduating class was huge Ingrid, there were 1076 in my graduating class, most of them I didn't actually know so I have no desire to go to the reunion.

I had only attended a reunion once and that should be with my elementary classmates. We were in high school then and there were only two of us who appeared and I never got the chance to talk with them anymore because I went to another school.
I don't attend the annual reunion of my school in high school.
I think I don't like to attend reunions now to avoid interrogations hahahaha

@brokenbee it is because you do not think about having a family of your own. but you are still young, so it is okay.

just like me yesterday- only the 2 of us, and she was also in a hurry to leave. reunion set again this afternoon, hope it pushes through. why interrogations, hija? any thing you did that necessitates "police matter"? just kidding.
you should be proud of your achievements. never mind if you do not have a desk work, as long as you enjoy what you are doing.

@ridingbet hahaha yes Ate. Aside from that, there are a lot more that they "might" ask and I am avoiding those. Most of them are already married and have babies of their own, while me, awwwww never mind. Hahaha

I do meet some old school friends, but they are all once in a while. Not all together. or at least a few of them together.

isn't it nice to have a reunion with almost all of your colleagues attending? one or two is not considered a reunion for me.

@ridingbet Yes a reunion should consist of a crowd -

@karjatwala not necessarily, because if a crowd is in a reunion, you might not be able to talk to all.

@sol_cee nursing graduates from 1978 to 11983 were to attend that grand reunion. i may say that the super grand reunion
that you mention may include the graduates from 1978 up to date. i don't know if that is possible... is it?

@ridingbet Now that my dad has passed I won't hear that question asked at the family reunion. Dad always asked where everyone was working. I could get the how is your family question at the family reunion. Especially since my kids won't be going.

@just4him but isn't it nice to have a get=together because your dad passed away? siblings can still have reunions, like us here last Christmas.

for me, a family reunion is better than a class reunion because there will be no "asking questions about "where are you working now" but instead "how is your family".

an unscheduled reunion with me having appointments is also one reason why i beg off from attending.

I have not really had any personal work reunions I enjoyed. I have liked the ones my husband has had.

going to your husband's reunion is also fun, i believe. it is because you meet with the people your husband gets in contact with at work.

I haven't gone out of my way to go to any reunions from high school or anything, I figure if they are on my FB friends list and they want to get ahold of me they can. Old co-workers no not at all. Though I see some posted on FB from mutual co-workers that go hang out... which I am a bit jealous because I know them all but never get invited.

maybe they are ashamed to invite you? why not communicate often to them on FB so you will also receive some requests of reunions as well

our sort-of-reunions are scheduled at the spur of the moment, so when one says we meet, we have to arrange our schedules and off we go.
