Wondering about bitcoins.

Lately, I have seen the word "bitcoins" in many internet pages. I wonder what they are and what is their use. The web has brought so many changes in our lives that we cannot keep up with them. I remember that when I heard the word "paypal" for the first time, I had no clue about what it was. The closest in my vocabulary had been penpal. I used to write to a friend in another part of the world when the web did not existed. Now, the latest for me is "bitcoin". The word coin implies that I can buy something with it, but I don´t understand how I earn them or where I can use them. Any help?

Very basically it is sort of a digital currency...but it isn't really Actually there is a lot of debate about if it's a currency or not but for this very simple explanation I'm saying it is a sort of currency You can be paid in bitcoins on the internet and you can store them digitally. There are not any coins or notes just keys you need to access the bitcoin place. I've seen bitcoin pictures but don't know why they exist as its purely digital. For a more detailed explanation ask someone else as it's too much to type

And if you get bitcoins, where can you buy something with them?

bitcoins have been big for awhile and I have never understood them....I wonder if by chance they are anything like the zubees I collect and you can exchange it for real cash that you can use? I know you supposedly can pay for some things with bitcoins. I know there are some traffic exchanges where you can earn them. p.s. I replied to your email.

I prefer Bitcoin because it is a lot CHEAPER and FASTER than PayPal. I don't understand why people say Bitcoin is for bad people. It is just similar to PayPal, unverified accounts sending/receiving funds have limits unlike verified users.

Bitcoin is a virtual money but officially defined as commodity (like gold or gas) in Japan and in the USA. I have blogs about it but I can't post the link here. I'll send you message with my blog link
