Do you recognize this car as the bug? Vintage volkswagens are being restored back to their historical beauty. The volkswagen will always make you turn your head and smile even today. I had a friend who had a bug for many years and even when she bought a brand new car she kept her bug as she loved it. I have no idea what has happened to her bug now. Did you or do you own a volkswagen and if so don't you just love it?

@AbbyGreenhill I can fully understand it having served its purpose and now you want something more roomy with more metal around you when going out and about.

@Marcyaz Absolutely not - It served its purpose and gave me many good years...I prefer comfort now - and a lot more metal around me than that.

I remember one that a co worker had decades ago, it was already old in 1973 but she kept it because it was given to her to use when she was in high school .... I wonder whatever happened to it.

@VivaLaDani13 It was like this. We drive, race and stuff with cars ...hitting each other with cars. Though bike were sort of real but tiny for kid size and were driven on ground.

I thought the English name was 'beetle', not 'bug'. Both terms would be correct for the German word 'Käfer'.

My hubby had a red bug when we first met and my dad bought me a Karmin Ghia, a convertible Volkswagen, for a college graduation present. Our tastes in cars have changed quite a bit over the years.

If we have one, surely we would love it because it is already a vintage car. Many car collectors restore it then some sell it for a good price.
