I Knew I Shouldn't Have Done It

A couple hours ago I cleaned the cache and defragged. I knew something would go wrong if I did that. I have a dead, non-working cell phone. So I can't get any codes to sign into my Google account. I filled out a form to prove who I am and am the owner of the account. One, I don't know how long I've had the account, so they might still think I'm a hacker. Since I just click on the names in my contact list, I don't know anybody's email address and hope the one I did put down is correct. They said it would take 3-5 business days for them to get back to me. If they use my alternate e-mail address to send me the verification, how will I access it if I can't get into my regular account? I always have headaches when I clean the cache. I'm going to have a ton of e-mails when I do finally get into my account. The good thing is that I can still work on here and get access to my game and other sites. So that's good. Now I'm totally frustrated. Well we'll see how this plays out. I really don't want to set up another e-mail address. Thanks for reading. I just tried the dead phone and it's magically charging. When it went dead, it was at full charge. So hopefully it will work long enough for me to get an access code. I'll know tomorrow.

One day I must learn how to clear my cache. I don't really understand it all. Hope it all comes good for you.

As long as you have a good dependable cell phone it won't be a problem.

I have having trouble getting into an account. I tried to tell my daughter she needed to write down her passwords incase she forgot them. I have to due to memory loss from severe depression. She now has a bout five accounts on Facebook due to this. Hope you get this all worked out.

I went through this as well. Security is a pain but maybe it protects us somehow.

@Bluedoll Definitely I agree. They ask so many questions just to verify who you are.

My phone is actually charging. I had to persuade it to turn on and work. So we'll see how long it works this time. Hopefully I can get the access code tomorrow.

You would think they could get back to you quicker than that. I hope you can access your code.

That's why I don't bother with that sort of cache-clearing anymore. I use CCleaner to run through the temporary internet files, etc., but it won't clear out things like saved passwords, etc.

you have the worst luck with that! Mine never has issues when the weekly defrags/malware/etcs run

One thing both my son and I agree on is that I'm getting a brand new computer as soon as possible, and that will be when I get my inheritance. I don't know when that will be.

That is why I am afraid to do such things myself (really got to check when the library is having computer classes I need)
