I had a massage today....

Wow! Did she hit on some painful spots - specifically my neck and my hips/groin area. Pressing on the hips hurts the groin. Pressing on the buttocks hurts the groin. It was a rough appointment. My legs have been killing me all night. Nothing seems to be making the pain go away. It's been a terribly painful day to me. Massages are supposed to be helpful but sometimes they just cause more pain. It hasn't helped that it has been a very rainy day. That increase the pain. Of course it might have helped it I had taken a hot bath afterwards, but I can't guarantee hot water in my bath/shower. Some ghost is haunting my shower so that I am the only one in the house that can't get nice hot water. Hopefully I'll be able to walk tomorrow.

Please rest and try not to do too much. Pain sucks. The rain doesn't help either. I am stiff as a board today. Should be interesting to have to do housework all day.

@patgalca assign each of them a night that it will be their responsibility to cook for the family. Post it on the fridge.

@ElusiveButterfly That'll never happen. I did call out to my younger daughter and asked if she would help make pancakes for dinner. She said sure. She didn't really help... she did all the work.

Yeah, well, it would be nice if these adult daughters of mine would help out around here instead of coming to me and asking if I'm making dinner and then doing nothing when I say no. I'm exhausted and the stress of the useless of the three other adults in this house just make it worse.

How do you feeling now. May be one or two days after the massage your body get the ease. other wise you may consult a good doctor.

I'm feeling a bit better now, thanks. The only problem is the weather keeps changing like crazy. We had rainy, cool weather followed by a couple of warm sunny days. Last night the temperature dropped to below freezing!!! And it remained cool all day. I don't have to go outside to feel the affects of the weather on my body. Hawaii continues to call my name.

@shshiju But it's tolerable when you're near the ocean and it's dry heat, not humid.

@patgalca The cold climate gives some ache. But in heat there is no pain or inflamation but always sweating sweating.

I have to push myself to do some things. I walk. But I hurt. I HAD to go to the dentist yesterday and decided to shop for a baby shower gift while out, and pick up my medication. Well, off to groceries today, dollar store for gift wrap and card for the gift, and groceries. And I guess I better make a dinner tonight.

Did you see the doc about all this pain? Maybe a massage is not a good idea right now.

I have. I have fibromyalgia. She knows what's wrong, had hip x-rays done. The up and down weather is most likely the cause of the terrible time I am having right now with pain and fatigue. Only slept 4 hours Monday night due to the pain in my left side.

You poor thing. Did you tell the masseuse it was hurting so she could go a bit gently? I hope the pain stops soon.

Oh yes. I tell her as soon as I arrive what is bothering me and exactly in what way I have experienced the pain. She has fibro herself so she understands exactly what I am going through and has several fibro patients. The weather has been our worst enemy.

@patgalca She is probably a very good masseuse to have then if she suffers herself.

Unfortunately, no. The pain has been pretty bad this "spring". The weather has been so up and down it is reeking havoc on my body. I am in so much pain, so tired, not getting anything done around the house and, even more frustrating, no one is picking up the slack to help me out.

@miniam I griped to hubby about it. I carried all the groceries in myself (afterwards) and he eventually came and held the door open for me. I sniped, "It's a good thing no private detectives are following me around now!" Because, well, that happened to me.

Not likely. Been suffering with this illness for 20 years.
