Very Scared

Because the doctor said that all my muscle and fat tissue is being used up to provide oxygen to my lungs, I've been trying to eat three times a day. Granted oatmeal and toast and peanut butter sandwiches aren't much, but better than nothing.
This morning I got up and felt fine and started my morning routine with feeding the cats, emptying litter boxes, etc., and when I was on my way back from taking care of the donkeys, I couldn't breathe.
I dropped down on all four's and thought I was going to pass out. I realized I had to make it back to the house (another 300 feet). Personally I didn't want the fire ants and/or coyotes to dispose of my body and the fact that we're suppose to have a deluge of rain this afternoon, inspired me to get up and make it to the house.
I took my BP and it was 103/75. What it was while I was outside, I don't know. I sat in front of the fan as the breeze made me feel better and three of my cats paced around me crying. Apparently they knew I was in trouble.
I emailed my daughter, who called immediately; since she knows I haven't been doing all that well. She knows that if she doesn't hear from me on a daily basis that she'll need to call emergency services.
I do hope I make it to Thursday when I'll turn 65.

@nanette64 I am sure that is weird and difficult. I know because if I don't eat I have seizures. I hate having to eat-like being a slave to food but I know if I don't I will have bigger problems. I know it stinks, trust me but please stay healthy!

You know what gets to me @LovingMyBabies is that I have eaten 1 meal per day most of my life and for me to have to eat 3 plus times per day is weird. Especially if I don't feel hungry.

Whoa, that sounds scary! I was once advised to "eat something with a calorie in it". Every time I get sick now, I remember that advice, which turned out to be just what I needed at the time. Take better care of yourself! You have decades still to enjoy.

Good heavens... that sounds awfully scary. I hope that things change for you. My husband has to take meds for his low blood pressure too! I'm the opposite... too high. Hope that you are feeling better :)

Thank you @Hate2Iron . The thought of passing out and fire ants eating me was not my goal for the day.

I'm pretty concerned as well @jaboUK . Outside of my ruptured appendix 6 years ago, I have been healthy as a horse all my life. It figures that 'now' the poop decides to hit the fan. I love you too, my Precious.

@nanette64 Is eating hard for you? Do they want you to focus on proteins? Or carbs? It can't feel comfortable, either. Cortisol levels are raised when the body is devouring itself, and that leads to feelings of stress/anxiety.

@TheHorse Most of my life I have only eaten 1 meal per day so eating 3 is weird. And yes, they want me to concentrate on proteins and carbs. Geez, if only eating Peanut Butter Cups was the answer. 2 years ago I was eating 16 of them a day and went from 130 to 150 pounds in 2 months. LOL

They said I have massive COPD in both lungs @TheHorse and that's why I have no muscle or fat cells left. What ticks me off is that because the muscles and fat cells are providing the oxygen to my lungs, the reading of my oxygen levels shows 99%, so I can't even get a portable oxygen unit through Medicare; it has to be 88% or lower. I can't even have a BMI (body mass indicator) test because my body looks like I have lived in Auschwitz. I'm nothing but skin and bones. Literally. You can't be 5'8" tall and weigh 105 pounds. the doctor says I have to eat at least 3 meals per day in order to keep providing oxygen to the lungs. My BP used to be 120/65.

Don't take BP meds @marlina . The severe weight loss is starving my body of all nutrients.

There is a disease called toxoplasmosis which is transmitted by cats. Could that be what you have? It causes breathing and lung difficulties? Anyway, you have to stay with us to write on myLot. Do you have a doctor? Could your daughter help you get some better food? Prayers.

@nanette64 Ask your doctor if it is possible. I think there are treatments that could help.

Considering my menagerie of cats @akalinus , that wouldn't surprise me. I'm surprised my lungs aren't made of cement considering I scoop 5 litterboxes 5 times a day either. My sister will coming for a visit (my BD) on Saturday so I imagine her trunk will be loaded with food.

I criss-crossed the last sentence completely when I read the post. The sentence doesn't exist.
I hope you are feeling better now. I went through other responses and comments first because I wanted to know better what was causing you to go through this. It sounds very scary.
