Lost my tongue somewhere or just really startstruck. Seeing someone you loved to see for the first time is crazy. Yeah, crazy. Two years ago, i travelled almost 10 hours just to meet someone. Sounds crazy but i did. When i learned about him, seeing his fans here in the Philippines, i saved money for the trip. With couple of his books, and clothes good for 3 days, i.texted my nieces about the trip and.were.excited.about it too. Meeting.him wasn't easy. Have to fall.in line for hours with my fellow fans and almost lost hope when they told us of only 500 were allowed to meet and greet him. But, this author told the organizer about his willingness to.accomodate.everyone, i mean all of us (my number was 1354, lol). Almost 10 in the evening when i met him, face to face, and the only words thet came out were, "how are you doing?". Instead of saying "thank you". Well, i did say that after we have some photo though. Haha The book signing event is something i will treasure and not just the book. Maybe i was just a crazy fan but i wanted to see the man who made.me cry on the books and opened up my heart, like i owe something to him. Have you been into an event where you meet someone you love to see in person?

Just once, a mini concert of an international singer that I love, but he wasn't able to make it because he was not feeling well. Waaaaaahahaha after that, there's no more that I remember.

That's good that you got to meet your favourite writer after all the trouble that you went through .. I wanted so much to meet Princess Diana when she came to Australia in the late 80s but I've never got the chance .. I hate crowds ..

I must admit that I've never heard of him. He sounds like a nice person as it must have been tiring for hime to see all that many people. Why have you blocked out your face?

Well, I never read books so I don't have a favorite author. But I am a fan of a local actor when I was young and longing to see him but I never see him personally until now.

I was about to go there that time too. But there was a conflict because I had to attend an emergency.

I never tried seeing someone that I like up close. It is not my thing. I do think some people have this kind of doing it. I am glad that you had met the person for quite in years.

well, it was definitely worth the trip. And something you can tell the kids about this story too.

The friends of my daughter got so envious of her seeing my daughter's photo with heartthrob James Reid last January. My daughter was on her way back to New Zealand and they were on the same plane going to Sydney.
