Well this is about to happen on this mid-week break as I zone out of my 'comfort zone' and get into the mode of SAFARI time. M is taking me on my first visit to a place that she loves so much - the Pilansberg National Park. Bird-watching, animal sightings, and of course the great outdoors is waiting on me . . . how could I say NO? A little R&R can be just what the doctor ordered!!! Its her mid term break, so she wants to do some adventurous things. So who's following whom? That may be the question as my Zebra's line up for a photo-shoot what are you favourite mid-week break-a-ways?

Is M your daughter? I enjoy spending time with my daughter and if she wanted to go on a safari that is what I would do. Last week it was sending a day with her family, 4 boys and a day trip, it seemed like I was with wild animals lol

@inlemay it's got to be a quick hop over ti Lisbon fir me or a drive out to our west coast. Enjoy your zebra spotting - we did a lot of that in Malawi.

It should be safe enough as long as you remember to stick to where there is a zebra crossing.

Bird watching sounds like great fun. We often walk through the woods with our bird book and tree book to see what we can find.

A bit of walking in the Yorkshire Dales for me!! The wildest animals you see there are cows. Which can actually be pretty scary when they all start running towards you!!

That sounds like fun. Right now I have listening to a book so I guess that is my mid-week break.

I like people and bird watching at a nearby lake. I would love to zebra watch, too--but there aren't any here in the wild :(

How fun! I'd love to take a safari break, but it seems a city break is more likely to me.

I could definitely go on such an adventure! Zebras are magnificent, so I do hope you see some. Buying some postcrossing postcards must be part of the plan? I don't know about mid-week breaks, but I'm off on a seaside retreat next week.
