We are planting ours this weekend. We have two 10 x 10 raised beds plus several pots and a couple of other areas in the yard that we plant each year with vegetables and herbs. Last weekend we cleaned everything out and prepped the areas. This weekend our plan is to plant as long as the weather cooperates.
Typically we plant: zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, eggplant, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, poblano peppers, serrano peppers, various types of tomatoes, green beans, Swiss chard, basil, parsley, cilantro, sage, oregano, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, dill, chives, and mint.
We get lots of produce and herbs from our garden all summer long which is just a wonderful thing both from a hobby standpoint and also from a financial standpoint. A few dollars in seeds and plants gives us a bounty in return.

If you don't, why don't you?

We only have two small flower boxes in front of our apartment. Our neighbour is growing some veggies in them. That's about as close as we get.

We have a garden in our backyard. I have told my husband that I want to double the size this year. We enjoy fresh vegetables and can't wait to get our garden started. Hubby wanted to put it in this week. I talked him out of it. Way too chilly in the evenings and there is still chance of frost.

This sounds a lot of work and I'm sure with a very productive outcome. I have some raised beds too but don't always plant a lot.

I have an indoor garden, since I live in an apartment, right now I have some herbs growing, (Oregano, Basil, Dill, Parsley and Catnip), Strawberries, and bean plants. So far things are growing pretty well, all except for my strawberries, they seem to be a little more difficult to grow.
