I rely on good old Rocky a lot when I do my walking downstairs. This CD really gets me moving.
So this morning, I have already done a bit of my walking. Didn't do too much as I have to keep some energy for mowing the lawn later on. It will be the first cut of the season and not an easy one. But it will be done even if I have to mow it at intervals.
I can feel that I am not as strong as I used to be when doing the lawn. I wish I could still be in my twenties, those were the days my friend!
Wishing you a great productive day.
Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours And dreamed of all the great things we would...

@marlina I guess so. Its just that when I was very young I enjoy the same music and movie choice my parents use to enjoy. But not much of them.

@jndlponti I guess it is only normal that the children listen to the same music that their parents listen to. Our 2 sons grew up on "our music".

@marlina ....I don't think I ever was terribly strong. It would be a bummer though to feel yourself weakening.

@celticeagle Trust me, it is very upsetting to see yourself getting weak, after being so strong all your life.

I hear ya! Great song for walking, too and I remember Those Were the Days. I never thought I would have to use those words, but times change. Ha Ha! We had our second mowing, but the rain last night made the grass grow right back. Drat!

You know I was singing that song in my head this morning when I saw my old identification cards for covering/reporting for the local elections some years ago. I posted it on my FB group and said:"those were the days. . .

Are you Gonna Fly Now? Mary Hopkin is certainly a blast from the past! Paul McCartney wrote Those Were the Days.

I am flying, yes, I am flying right now. And like Martha Stewart would say "It's a good thing".

I love that song. 1968 was a big year for me, I graduated from high school and got married that year.

I always say that I feel like I'm still in my twenties, but my body reminds me otherwise. I hope you get the lawn done. Take it slow and don't hurt yourself. :)
