I know enough about the plant to know that you aren't supposed to eat it, but what I didn't know is that even touching the plant can make you sick. Our last house had a few plants growing and I thought that they would look gorgeous against on the shady side of the house so I began to dig some up to transfer. I was doing fine until about lunch time when I began to feel sick to my stomach for no reason. It got to the point where I was really beginning to feel ill, so I sent an hour or so laying down. Once it passed, I began to wonder about my touching the plant and sure enough, I found that in some cases, it can actually go straight through your skin. I had actually poisoned myself. Just a heads up. If you want to transplant them... be sure to use gloves!!
