Astounded

Sleep is not something that comes easily. I often go to bed a bit late and wake up early with my husband. Six hours is a full night for me, especially if I do not wake up in the night. Sometimes I wake up and lay awake a couple of hours.
I admit to napping a time or two a week, or going back to bed when hubby leaves.
This morning I got out of bed before 5 a.m. I sat down on the sofa, napped a little. When hubby left I sat down in the recliner and did not wake until ten. That made the better part of eleven hours that I slept. Not good, not good at all.
I slept through my usual online time. I will probably not be here much today. Tomorrow I will helping my sister fill out paperwork for a specialist appointment next week.
I am astounded that I slept so much. I guess it is the fresh air and sunshine.

Sometimes our body just needs to play catch up for all the 6 hour nights. I do the same thing every so often.

I was surprised not to have a headache from lack of coffee.

I have been outdoors a lot, and I know that makes a difference.

I just posted a couple of posts about sleeping and reasons why people may not be getting the sleep they need. I hope you will stop by and give me your opinion.

@GardenGerty ....I am finding just a black screen when I go over there. I am glad I got all my better articles/blogs off of there years ago. I think I can still bring up a link if I have one but, that is all.

Ah, but on the flip side more sleep is good for the body...
Sometimes we need that little bit extra, even if it means we don't get to do everything we planned for the day.
Have you ever thought about getting one of those wearables (like a Fitbit) that tracks sleep patterns? I got one of the Jawbone UP2 trackers a little while ago when they went on sale at work, and it's been really interesting seeing how my sleep patterns affect my days.
It's pretty accurate when it comes to differentiating between awake and asleep... I'm just not sure I trust its ability to determine light and deep sleep... it seems to track 'sleep cycles' when I take it off to shower and do the dishes. I end up with it recording naps I didn't take.

No, I tend to not want someone or something watching over me. If I could just get a good pedometer that would work well I would be thrilled.

@GardenGerty It seems like good basic pedometers are a thing of the past. I swear some of the ones we sell are on the verge of being something out of a James Bond movie.

Can't hurt to sleep when you need it. Sometimes I nap early in the afternoon. Today I went to Brandan S D to some garage sales since I received my oxygen tanks yesterday. I went to sleep late last night for some reason and will not and have not been on here much today.

A lot of times I do not sleep well any more, so this must be me playing catch up.
