1996 – Spoiler alerts This could have been fun, but it is an unspeakable mess. After Who Framed Roger Rabbit, another movie promising to mix well loved cartoon heroes with live action seemed sure to be terrific, but then this garbage hit the screens. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters are abducted by aliens from the appropriately named Moron Mountain. It’s the sort of mess Bugs would normally put right in five minutes, but somehow the heroes find themselves trapped in a basketball tournament under threat of slavery if they lose. Bugs abducts the retired real world player Michael Jordan as his star turn, despite Jordan having as much facial expression as a concrete slab and all the acting skills of a potato. Ultimately even he can only win the game by turning into a cartoon. This really needed the Harlem Globetrotters or some other medium instead of basketball. It actually robs the Looney Tunes stars of their talents – an utter shambolic utterly predictable disgrace that is utterly devoid of humour if that is even possible. That’s all folks. Arthur Chappell

Agreed. Constantly, as a kid, my grandmother would force us to watch this trash OVER and OVER again. MJ's acting skills are just disgraceful, which I'd probably why this is one of the only movie roles that he's taken. And it was definitely predictable, but I chalk that up to it being a 90s kid's film. I do give them kudos for actually BSing it to give it length. For a lot of parents, they could put this on (I had to watch it in VCR all the time), rewind the casette, and just be free from the kids for almost 2 hours.

plenty of movies or cartoon reels could hold kids attention - I'd never inflict this on children

@arthurchappell Definitely not. I wish that there were better cartoons for kids also. More educational, and not an obnoxious film.

I totally agree with your assessment. Now, I did actually think Michael Jordan did pretty good with the LOUSY material he had to work with, and I think just about any 5 year old could've written a better script!

I am sure you will look forward to the proposed Space Jam II with LeBron James. Not a joke.

I have seen good movies with cartoons and characters, "ho Framed Roger Rabbit" was a good one, as it was "Fantasia" and "Los 3 Caballeros", but this one was really a bad movie.

it was a fun movie in general, but I agree, the Harlem Globetrotters would have added much more hilarity. honestly though, I liked the CD soundtrack more than the movie
