Too Much TV

Bike Road map

Been spending far too much time in front of the TV. With the arrival of some very good weather, I decided to take a leaf from @teamfreak16 and instead of some short bike rides, get a few miles on the pedals. A quick bit of shopping, in Uxbridge, then off towards toward the airport, where there are lots of dirt trails. It has been dry, so I could use the hybrid and get some speed up. Only 15 miles, but a great day for it. Being a tadge obsessive, I use a GPS to map the route and then record everything in a journal. Maybe I should try for 1000 by year's end?

Trouble is that it is addictive. Watch for five minutes and you've lost hours!

Go for it. I love long rides but I haven't done it for a couple of months already. Just short ones recently.

I really enjoy it. Startles some people as I tend to sing as I pedal along!

That's my goal. And don't forget you can input your stats on Bikejournal. Com, and it keeps track for you, and you're competing against other cyclists, which is quite fun.

@Ronrybs - That was singletracks.com. I've never had a problem with bikejournal.

Aren't they the people who dumped all your data? I've got a strava account on which I should really put something

1000 by the end of the year sounds great. The exercise alone will make you live longer as long as some idiot .....never mind... Just keep going.

It's always good to have a goal in mind. Isn't technology great that you can map routes so easily?

I'd like to get the map view, but haven't worked out how to do it yet. Still, this Earth view does the trick
