Sleepless night, sleepy day!

It was so hot last night and even though my windows were open and the electric fan rotated its wind around, I was not able to sleep well. I have dark circles around my eyes, and I had to stand up so early too because the dogs were whining.
This day, I logged in then left the net book open because I was so sleepy with the hot wind from the fan and the humidity at 48%. So, what I did while I was watching TV shows, I sat down and started to nod. I could not lie down because it was so hot. My sister also joined me in nodding. It took us a few hours to have our siesta, and now that the wind is cool and the sun is coming to set, I stood up and went back here.
Do you have sleepy days after sleepless nights?

what do you do during daytime? why only 3-4 hours of sleep at night?

it is nice you have a climate conducive for sleeping and resting as well. i hope you will not experience the heat of the sun's ray there

@ridingbet Not at the moment. It will be though come July and August when temps get high and stay that way at night with high humidity too.

but you have a cool temperature that is why maybe your sleepless night is not due to the hot climate, right?

I think that comes naturally on sleepless nights you would want to sleep during the day.

indeed, it follows. the humidity adds to my drowsiness yesterday, and my eyelids were already closing while i yawned and yawned. my son and my sister were scared because i might have another attack, that they often visited me in the room while i was already asleep.

sleeping late and waking up late is what i also do after a week of work in the hospital. and my work will resume yet on July.

nodding is another term for dozing off. i nod when i watch the TV show and find it boring, so i doze off or nod

Yeah, Last night I slept around eight in the evening but woke up around one in the morning but I slept again and then woke up four hours later.

i wonder what remedies can i do so i will not be this sleepy during day time. maybe because i am just at home doing nothing. with this hot weather, i would not wish to go out now.

it is so hard if we do not have sound sleep at night. we get to be cranky at times, and my emotions are so hard to understand as well

That would be the side effect indeed , after .
I feel that way whenever i napped in the afternoon for at least an hour . I can't sleep until it's 2:30 a.m. and had to wake up 5:00 a.m. to prepare for work again . 
Somebody from here i think , commented that she would take Sleepasil to make her sleepy but it's not addictive .

@SIMPLYD isn't that addictive? the anti-histamine that i take is Piriton, from UK, a small white pill that m7y big brother brought home. when my sister feels the itch on her palms, she also takes an anti-allergy tablet then she sleeps soundly now

last night, i felt so sleepy that i did not even finished watching "Ang Probinsyano" and i did not tell my son or sister that i gulped a pill but not a tranquilizer (Valium) but an anti-histamine (Chlorphenamine maleate). now, i am wide awake while it is... at last... raining.

hush, but i have a little secret. i took a pill last night so i can sleep soundly without any interruptions. the pill was an anti-histamine (Chlorphenamine maleate)
