I got some good news today! Due to a scheduling conflict, my root canal has been moved up to Tuesday! Yay for a few less days in pain :) I'm still nervous about it but this new anxiety medicine has me feeling pretty darn good and i think I can handle it. So, 4pm on Tuesday I will be getting this annoying tooth worked on. I keep hearing different stories. Is it going to hurt afterwards or not? If you had one what was your experience?

I've never had one so I can't help you there. Glad to hear that your new medicine is working though. What is it?

@sharon6345 They also gave me PRN Klonopin but I'm trying to avoid taking it as I know its addictive. My best friend just had to come off it cold turkey because it was making her pass out.

Yes, I have had root canals and they do throb afterwards, but not terribly bad. Good luck.

I'm thinking ice pack and a klonopin to put me to sleep afterwards, alone with prescription strength Aleve.

Good luck! It is more discomfort than pain but once it is done it feels so good.
