My better half's granddaughters Batmitzah was today. It was to begin at 9:00 this morning so we drove down early to get a parking place near the synagogue. I had never been to a Batmitzah so it was all new to me.
It was a lovely service with the Rabbis, Cantor and the granddaughters presentation. She did a great job. It was very impressive. My better half is Jewish but is not a practitioner. His daughter and her family are.
Granddaughter is now considered of age in the faith as I understand it. She is 13 and a beautiful girl, next year it will be the other granddaughter turn. It was a good experience. Have you ever been to a Batmitzah?
