Remember The Jeffersons TV Show?

Do you remember that 70's TV show "The Jeffersons"? Apparently it is one of the longest running TV shows in the history of American television. At least, this is what I have read. My husband and I used to enjoy watching that show starring Isabel Sanford, Sherman Hemsley, Marla Gibbs and a few other good actors. Were you in the habit of watching that show in the 70's?

@marlina I am sure it would be considered politically uncorrect.

I know of the show, but never watched it. I wasn't into sitcoms. I have trouble with comedy. Some is just too ridiculous and unpalatable for me. I prefer a good drama.

I did watch it once in awhile in the early 70s but then I started working night shift (6pm to 2am) and there was nothing for me to see on TV.

Yep I did watch this show and What's Happening and Good Times. The Jeffersons and Good Times still come on one of the local stations here. I would really like to see What's Happening added to the line up.

I remember Archie Bunker too. At the beginning I didn't understand the jokes too much as I was not familiar enough with the English language. But eventually I got it!

We have a few cable channels that only air the older shows. We love watching them. Television was so much better back then than most of the silly choices we have now for shows.
