That person who texts you then does not write back for days!

Do you have that one person who texts you? Asks you something. You respond within the day, and do not here back from the person? It has been days. I received a text messaging asking me a question on where I purchased a pair of shoes. I told her where I got the shoes and I didn't hear a thank you, okay cool. No response back. Geez, thanks. Not like I needed to hear a thank you but some acknowledgment like a smiley face would do. And this particular "girl" is not someone I talk to regularly either nor did I get a "Hello". Just Where did you get your shoes at? How rude!

Oh yes! That actually happens to me a lot with various parents that I know. One example, this mom asked me where I got a certain item for the class goody bags - she wanted them for her Thankgsiving dinner for the kid guests. I wrote out this whole long text about where I got them - including the exact location in the store because it was tucked away. And I never heard from her . . . no thank you or anything. And you're right . . .a smile or thumbs up or SOMETHING of acknowledgment would have sufficed.

I understand you may be busy but I took out my time to write to you! It was not her first time doing that too. I received a few times she has done that. I will ignore her question now on and see if she asks again. If it is important she could ask again and think it may have not sent to me.

@infatuatedbby Isn't it completely annoying? Yah, I should ignore these people and their texts from now on too. Seriously, some people just do not know how to communicate nicely!

@much2say Totally. I won't respond within the day. I'll just act like I didn't receive it and see how they feel!

I think this is very common. Some people who just don't know the "mobile manners". I had a good friend, sometimes I saw her posted something online, especially about her son's drawings. I would write down praises for her son. However, I have never heard a feedback from her. Sometimes we can't say that the internet changes the friendship, but I think the time does change it. It is very convenient for her to write down thank you or something else rather than no response at all. It will not spend her a second to even leave a smiling face. It is somewhat hurtful for a good friend in the past.

@infatuatedbby Exactly! I think it is OK to write something back to a friend, especially I often write down good comments to her.

Is this online, at least "like" the comment right? I know what you mean anything! A smile face! But yet they have all this time to post stuff right? I see her posting on IG, Facebook but yet you do not have time to acknowledge anything!!

@youless Yes. That is straight up rude for her not to say anything to you. Do you still leave these comments then??

I have a few people on my call list that do this and it is the most irritating thing, it takes 2 seconds to acknowledge your text but yet they let it sit there.

He only concern seems to be your shoe and not your relationship.Maybe she also wants to get such shoes for herself and just inquired with you about the shoe. There are many people in this world who are selfish and don't think of others too much as they will always be worried about themselves and not others. They don't care what others are doing

Yes. It is. I am glad I don't have a cell phone. Texting from some folks would drive me crazy. I get insulted when people just go off the phone and never say goodbye.

I think it is common sense to at least show the person that you read the message that you sent. And i dont know if it is just me, but it is a bit rude to not at least say hello before asking the question.

I find it rude not to address the person with a hello or hi at least too. She does this like once a month.

We also know of somebody who calls unexpectedly in the house when he asks for something but when you meet him on the road, it is as if he never knew you.
