Suffering hardships while keeping an eye on the Prize

"Youth has no age" ~ Pablo Picasso Happy day to everyone and in wishing you all a marvelous May 17th, I send a great big SHOUT OUT to my hubby who is celebrating a birthday today. As we age, our needs and likes as well as our aspirations change especially when we have accomplished many of the ones we had on a "list" when we were younger. My hubby and I have always had a list of "dreams" a hope that we get "to do" some of the things we missed while raising our children, paying for a home and work till the blood poured out our fingers . . . well not really but it felt like that many a day. Those days of Blood, Sweat and Tears slowly dwindle as you near the retirement age, but another age awaits those that have the tenacity and perseverance to suffer the hardships while keeping an eye on the prize. The prize is a GOOD LIFE! Fun, reading books whenever, traveling if affordable, friends - having more time for the friends that stayed the course of your friendship. “With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.” ~ William Shakespeare Today I wish my hubby much Love, much fun in the new year of a new age, much tolerance of the younger generation, much love for many traveling years ahead, much love sharing and caring for each other. “The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been.” ~ Madeleine L'Engle happy day to you all.
