A stroll down to Qawra

Yesterday I took a walk along the coast with a friend, which took us down to the centre of Qawra.
Since a few members here had requested a photograph of the seaside here in Malta, it seemed an ideal time to take one before descending the hill. There are actually more people around than this photograph would suggest, although it is not busy and is therefore quite a peaceful area.
If the hotel wifi permits then I shall upload this image tonight.
Tomorrow I head back to England, where I shall check online to see what holidays are available.

@Asylum My sister asked why I am not travelling at the moment. I told her that I am building up my savings. After it hits a preset mark in my head, I will be looking into trips too. I'm thinking about the oregon coast. Perhaps I'll ask JamesH for suggestions.

@hereandthere I always try to spend some time away from the tourist spots. All tourist areas tend to be international.

Many beach resorts have pedestrian walks like this along their coastlines. I wonder why the US west coast does not. It's a pity we don't take advantage of what is right there for us to enjoy.

@ElizabethWallace That is something that has not been the case for as long as I can remember.

@arthurchappell It was a much nicer place than I expected. Plus the bonus of an old friend living there.

@Asylum I bet it would be pretty at night. I see strings of lights between the lamps.

That looks like a pleasant walk especially on a sunshine day.

I am glad.
Did you get to try anything else that is considered a local speciality?
