Breaking Monotony

Everyday I get up at 5 a.m.,rush to my workplace after having some physical exercises and yoga,return from there in the afternoon,take tea and visit Mylot and then go out for my long evening walks.At night I take dinner,cast a cursory glance on any book or magazine and go to bed. A monotonous life,isn't it?Don't know how to break this monotony.Would you please guide me?

@Jessicalynnt What I mean is that I should better take a leave and go somewhere.You are right that breaking the routine is difficult,because I have only a very little time.

@Jessicalynnt,Yes,on weekends,but I perhaps need a month's leave so that I may do something that I can't do now.

@else34 it's hard to beak the routine when all you have is evenings most of the time. Could walk somewhere different or find free concerts or local events to stop by

You can alternate with other things that you are interested in. Also take another walking route!

@dianadee,That exactly what I do.I follow different routes to my workplace,never read the same newspaper,have tea at different restaurants on my way back home from evening walks,try to enjoy different dishes whenever possible.

@else34 I have heard that it is also safer to not use the same old route so that criminals cant learn your exact time and place you leave home and get to your destination.

@TiarasOceanView,I try my level best to do various things to add spice to my life.For example,I never follow the same route to go to my office,meet different people most of whom are strangers to me,read various magazines whenever it's possible,eat different dishes as my lunch or supper.Nothing works.Perhaps I need to go somewhere.

@TiarasOceanView I,too,think so.Perhaps I need a break from my daily routine and go to somewhere where I may relax.Although easier said than done,this seems to be the only way out.

How about moving to another city and getting a new job? That would be different.

I think we all lead monotonous lives to some degree. My day is fairly routine and far from exciting. Do you do anything different (or fun) on the weekends?

@Marilynda1225,I generally spend my weekends with my friends.We go to the jungle at the outskirts of our town and stay there till evening.We don't have any other place to visit.The nearest beach is 350 kms from our town.Still I try everything I can to spice up life,but nothing works.

Are there groups near by that you'd like to join? I guess many people who work have similar monotonous days.

@JudyEve,One such group is here.It's dedicated to planting trees at places like temple and church premises,places that are deserted,schools,graveyards,slope of hillocks etc.I have been an active member of this group,but these days I am very busy with truckloads of work.I agree with you that most of us live monotonous life.
