Two Cats and a Bunch of Birds

We had an interesting time in the garden yesterday morning. Our cat Sid enjoys watching the birds, even crows peck on the food I place them outside on this old fridge. It has become the bird food station. He looks out for these birds and doesn’t disturb them. Suddenly after I set out food yesterday early I see Sid in a crouched position. I looked at him and said, “Sid, surely you’re not going to jump the birds?”
That was when I saw a neighbor cat upon our garage roof looking at the birds who were all quite upset. They couldn’t get to the food. So I took a plastic broom handle and gently scooted the cat away. However he climbed to the top of our greenhouse so Sid climbed up too. Sid told him what was what with a couple of meows and growls. However that cat didn’t leave right away so Sid stayed on the garage roof making sure the birds weren’t disturbed while they ate.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Sid has gotten used to they birds and leaves them alone. In fact he is such a chow hound that I think he constantly has a full belly even though he will always be wanting some food. Birds he doesn't need to bother with

@paigea Sid seems to enjoy watching the birds and when asleep on windowsills doesn't mind the bird songs and twitters. If he wants to get away from it all he just comes on inside.

The birds were oblivious to their danger lurking.
They look quite busy, intent, and happy Sandra. A lovely photo.

That is their feeding station. In fact the two big crows we have seem to have also adopted us and come quite near and are unafraid @TiarasOceanView

How nice that Sid is looking out for the birds. Perhaps he enjoys watching them too.
