Is it possible that I am a myLot 'snob'?

I am always seeing people mention they have joined this or that writing site, and they are getting paid, or they are getting banned, or the site is closing...any number of things.
I will admit, I have joined a small handful of them over the years...most of them, I don't ever make a post on, others I might make the occasional post for a week or so, but then I soon 'forget' abut them
And I find myself still here.
I don't know what it is...surely it isn't the money, because we've all seen people complain how 'little' they make here, and I know people talk about earning fairly well at other places.
But I just don't seem to 'fit in' anywhere else.
If I want to talk about something, myLot has always been my first choice of where to go.
And since most places want 'original' content, and I am already writing about stuff here, it doesn't leave me anything to say anywhere else, really.
Oh sure, I could always rewrite topics to post elsewhere...but I don't need the money, and time spent elsewhere is less time spent here.
So yes...it appears I have become somewhat of a 'myLot snob'.
But look at the bright side...at least the rest of you can go somewhere else to get away from me.

I am one too I guess because Mylot will always be my choice. Why would anyone want to get away from you?

It is a combination of things for me. Being respected as an adult by Admin. , having good communication with other members, being paid on time, establishing relationships, looking forward to getting answers from certain members. And I could go on.

I had no problem with other sites with making friends and having a nice group of people - but funny thing is they are all here now since there aren't many places to go.

I don't think that is the case. I know that I never belonged to such a site until I joined the B site, and the member that convinced me to join really had to coax me to join. And I didn't enjoy it at first, and then it became more of a habit then anything else. Then I got disgusted at the way that I was treated, by the owners, and I stopped. I felt that I needed something else, but a good site, and a friend from over there, that is here, convinced me to join. I joined and it took me a couple of months before I felt comfortable, but I'm here and I don't want to go elsewhere either. This site satisfies all of my online needs, the social aspect, the need or ability to write things, and to read things. What else can you ask for?

I went to 'B' for a bit when things happened here and it was basically abandoned by everyone, but I still kept looking for another place like here...getting advance notice they were thinking about paying again was one of the best things I had heard for many years, because I knew people would start showing up again.

I have to say I am too. It seems rather pointless to join another site that is set up the same way as MyLot is. Being as how eventually they all seem to disappear. And Mylot is just the best - in my opinion. I use other sites (surveys and writing) to make a lttle bit of extra cash but they do not replace MyLot.

Many people depend on myLot a little too much. The money is just a nice incentive, it won't pay the bills. I did join another site, such a waste of time only because I do enjoy the features (blogging).

That one didn't last very long...I had almost forgotten it, but that was during myLot's non-paying period when only 3-4 people from the old group were still here.2 people like this

ha, ha, I am not on writing sites, because I am not the best writer.Here is a unique place where we can talk about a lot of things, start a short or long discussion. Get very good feedback from others, and get to know one another.
We won't get rich here, so the people that stick around, really like the site and makes this a safe place and a fun place to come.

Unfortunately, I couldn't come back as I want to like before. in fact, I couldn't even sit long in this chair with out experiencing some sort of back pain. like right now
