So I looked up my favorite Dairy Queen blizzard, and even looked at the mini size only…. You know something that small still has almost 400 calories and 50 carbs in it! I would have never expected that, not at all!
So here are the basic stats on a large brownie batter blizzard. There are 1160 calories!!!!! It also has 163 carbs, which is more than I am ever to have in a whole day! Wild. I will be rechecking out Skinny Cow ice cream at the store later today, I am craving a bit of sweet, but you better believe I will finding something other than Dairy Queen!
I included the link to where Dairy Queen has all of their foods up so you can check out your favorite foods there! Were they worse for you than you thought?

many many, many years ago after my baby was born . . . 23 years ago, I went on a calorie count diet - just watching what I ate and made sure my calories never went over 5000 a day (I believe I have that wrong its Kj) - I lost a considerable amount of weight in 2 years but I also did damage to my bone density. Some foods are health calories - dont leave them out.

I only went to DQ once in my life and that was to do a mystery shop. I didn't eat the food/ice cream. Ice cream is full of calories, doesn't matter if DQ or Bryers - unless you buy the 'diet' stuff that has no flavor.

We no longer have a Dairy Queen in our area.
I always look at the calorie content on the menu before I order. If I am out with my sister she says I should order what I want because it is calories don't count day. Even so, I will order what has less calories and then take half of it home.

@ElusiveButterfly I am doing tea with stevia and a power bar for breakfast, a light lunch, and a really healthy dinner. Some salads, some chicken and veggi stir fry, snacks are things like an egg, some pickles, a serving of almonds.

Right? I thought being a smaller size I could still have one now and then. I am thinking that will ONLY happen once I start exercising.

I don't have them very often, but my daughter that has a fitbit and Apple watch with similar technology on it goes periodically. I'll have to mention this to her.
I had a drink recently and that had 280 calories, more than I really wanted, but it was my first drink in at least eight months if not longer.
What I've been buying is Outshine frozen bars. Some of the fruit and vege ones are only 45 calories, and some have 60 and others 90. They have ones with yogurt, I think and different types to entertain your sweet tooth. And they are yummy too.

I may be the only person on earth who does not like Blizzards. I do not get to DQ very often at all.Love their burgers. I got sticker shock reading the label on canned flaky biscuits today. I try to only have bread once a day. Breakfast was it.

Thanks for the link but I refuse to look! There was a Dairy Queen on my walk home from elementary school and whenever I had little bit of extra money I could buy myself a dipped cone. With a little bit more extra money I could get a strawberry-pineapple-banana blizzard. A super special treat would be when I could afford a banana split. No way I want to know how many calories. I refuse to ruin some of my sweetest childhood memories.

I sort of expect that from a place that has really good but really rich ice cream, into which they load cookies, candies, whipped cream, and all sorts of other calorie-laden things.
The one that really got me was Jimmy John's. Their turkey sub was over 1,100 calories. Or, to put it another way, you could eat two foot-long subs from Subway for the same (less, actually) calorie price. Apparently they heard the outcry and have modified things....but their "skinny" turkey is still nearly twice the Subway turkey. Freakishly fast? Try freakishly FAT!!!!
