Ring that bell for the finish line

A month ago, remember I posted about finishing my Revise and resubmit for my ms, Venom. I didn't finish it and send it in, due to new contest feedback. Earlier this month, I entered another contest and got short-listed to one team, though my Twitter friend was the mentor/judge on it. She did told me that my query and first chapter was very polished and loved my concept, but she couldn't mentor me, since she wasn't familiar with the genre of eco-thrillers. I've heard the same stuff before since last fall in a previous contest. But that didn't get me down. With 4 agents waiting in the wings for my full, (2 has my partial still, one from last month's Twitter pitch contest win), I don't give up. I have 15 chapters left to finish edits this month and into early June. So get ready to ring that bell for the victory lap, around two weeks from today, and hope to get lucky this summer. Meanwhile, I'll keep on trucking, keep on writing and editing, and keep on querying. I still believe this is the year my dreams will come true this summer for me and Venom. Next weekend, I'm going to a full-day local writing conference and pitch to an agent in person along going to the classes. I'll be meeting one of the agents who has my R&R and find out the status of that, if I don't hear from her by then. (So you'll know ahead of time, I won't be on all day until when I'm home in the evening, next Saturday.)
